A note from the President:

Hello From The Longhorn LoW Chapter of Loners On Wheels,

Loners on Wheels is an International Club of singles that are connected because when we are traveling we like to find a campout where we can meet new friends.  The monthly newsletter tells us where all the Chapters are meeting.  Every organization needs a way to stay connected.

Chapters are your local group that you can camp with every month.  Each Chapter has its own personality, because of the make-up of the people.  This is ever changing because new members are added that bring a new spice of life.

The Longhorn Chapter meets in a radius of 150 miles around the FortWorth/Dallas area for its monthly campout, that's Thursday to Sunday.  We stay in these guidelines for the campouts because some of our members are still employed and need to drive to the campout after work.

Each campout may be totally different then the last.  Sometimes when it is Winter we just want to see friends, play games, and talk our heads off about rigs and where is everyone that are off on adventures.  All it takes to do something new is suggest it and someone will join you.  In the Spring and Fall our totally delightful Texas weather brings bigger crowds and the evening splits - some go dancing and the rest play games etc.  We also enjoy the areas where we are camped. with trips to museums, hikes, antiques, art, and shows.

You want to travel?  Just talk to the people at a campout.  They will tell you about all the places to go and how to connect with our group.

What do we ask of you?  Be single.  You have an invitation to come campout with us.  You can see the daily campout fee listed on our newsletter.  We would love you to visit, we will have a breakfast every morning and potluck each evening.  We would love to have you.  We ask that you visit before you join!!  We will give you copies of the Loaners On Wheels application (cost $45 + $5 registration fee) and the Longhorn Chapter application (cost $15 annually on Jan 1st - prorated at $1.25 a month) at the campout.
